Weekend Rewind

October 13, 2014

Friday was my off day- FINALLY!!!

I took the girls to school and then sat on the porch reading a book and enjoying a cup of hot tea! It was so peaceful.  I read a few chapters and then sat in silence listening the the birds.

Finally I came in and spent the next couple hours cleaning our kitchen, cleaning the refrigerator and scrubbing the stove clean! Finally Danny got up and we headed over to LoneStar to find out about their evening classes.  Danny is interested in going back to school!! I am so proud of him.  I think it is fantastic and it would help him tremendously, but I also know that it is something that he has to do on his own of his own will, and I can't push him...so I will just sit back and let him do it at his pace and support him one hundred percent!

Once we left there we headed over to my in-laws and took them and little Ava out to lunch.  We had Hickory Hollow and it was yummy.  Ava was in super happy and cute mode!!

Doesn't he look dreamy holding that big ole chunker!!! I love seeing him with babies...he is so good with them.  With our kids I think he is an amazing dad!! I am lucky to know that my kids have a great daddy who loves them and teaches them and leads our household!!

After lunch we headed home and I went to get a pedicure and Manicure while Danny hung out at home.  I wasn't done in time to pick up Makaila so Danny got her from school, and I went and picked up Issy.  All the kids on our block are back walkers so I took them all home! LOL

We hung out at home and watch some tv, and then at about 6, Nina came over with the kids.  She had asked Makaila to babysit last week,,,,so we were ready.  When she came over I was making dinner and Nina said I might be doing date night because Sean was being lazy.  Sure enough a few minutes after the kids were settled in I got the text from Nina to get ready becuase Date night turned into Girls Night! LOL

Nina and I went to Cheesecake Factory and then to the movies to see 'The Judge'.  It was a great movie! I really enjoyed it.

We even enjoyed a nice beverage before dinner....

It was yummy and then after dinner we were both super stuffed and burping like men! LOL Nina was not too happy about being on Date Night with me yet again, since her hubby bailed but I think we had a great time and I am game for Date night anytime.  I told Nina ...Danny hates the Cheescake factory and the movies..so it was a nice change of pace for me too! LOL

I love my Danny, but I have been married to that man for long enough to know that anything we do is mainly his choosing....he very rarely steps out of his comfort zone...so in order for me to do the things I want to do, I have to do them alone, go with a friend or neighbor or just give it up.  But if I want to make him happy we can go to a casino anytime! LOL

We got home pretty late..but it was a great evening.

Saturday morning I woke up a little early, and got to cleaning again.  I did a few loads of laundry and the rest of the day we spent hanging out at home semi-cleaning and organizing and being bums! LOL

Finally at about 5 I got ready to go do a Luminate 5K with my HIT friend Gina.  She came over and we headed out.

The race was at Minute Maid park and I did way better this time then in others.  I still slowed down a couple times but I didn't give up or give dagger eyes like I have before,  I sucked it up and finished it!! I was pretty excited about it.

We headed home right after the race and I was happy to see the girls were in great spirits, and had all their chores done.  I took them to celebrate at Baskin Robins and then we headed back home to finish watching the Notebook! LOL
Makaila forwarded me silly pics of Issy ...apparently they were getting along great while I was gone!! LOL

I showered and then we all headed to bed.  The girls shared my bed! LOL  They are way to big for all that...by 6 am, I was out of the bed and on the couch with a pain in my back from being crammed into one corner all night!

When Danny got home we watched tv for a bit and then we started to get ready for church!

Danny has started taking Sunday's off from work to ensure that we attend church as a family!! I am beyond words proud of his sole decision to do this, and so grateful that he is growing in his faith and his relationship with God!!  (Swoon...heart - heart- kiss-kiss!! I swear, that makes him just even more desireable to me! LOL)

Church notes:
Part 6 of Series: Be The Message - Taking your Faith beyond words to a life of action

1. Stop Fretting and remember that God is For you! do not be afreaid or discouraged.  Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!

Know that your greatest problem is your greatest opportunity to see God's work!

The greatest miracle is not God's presents but his presence!

2. Stop fearing and give the battle over to God!

Too often we forget to give the battles over to God!

3. Stop fighting and position yourself for a miracle.  BE READY!!!

Have an attitude of prayer rather than worry!

Have an attitude of thanksgiving rather than complaining.

Be ready to go from the valley of overwhelmed to the valley of blessings!

Step out in faith!!

Step out of the comfort zone an into the miracle zone.

It was a great message! After our message, we stayed at church and put on our gear and helped pack food to send to Africa.  It was great.  Not only because we were helping partake in a great cause but because we were doing it together as a family and leading our kids by example and I just couldn't be more proud of us!  Our little family has really come a long way adn I am oh so grateful!!

We looked cute too! LOL

We finished up our session of food packing adn then took some great little pics before heading home.

The kids headed to the mall to see the One Direction movie while the adults stayed back and ate tamales and rice and watch some football.  Ceci Rose and I were not all too interested in the games, so instead we left to check out the new Hancock fabrics that opened in our area!  We shopped there and at Michael's and then spent the rest of the afternoon crafting!1 Ceci left when the kids came home from the movie, but Rose and I made our cards until 7:30!!!

Ceci took the girls home with her since they were off for Columbus Day and Rose and I focused on our card making! LOL  When Rose headed out, Danny and I laid on the couch watching tv.  As soon as Revenge was over we headed to bed!

It was a nice relaxing weekend spent doing not too much, but I loved every minute!  I am in such a good place in life right now and I think it is only through the glory of God and his presence in our lives right now!  I am ever grateful.  I also want to thank God in advance for the amazing things that are still to come.  I know that he is good and I am faithfully praying that Danny find a job where he can be happy!  If you know of anyone hiring....keep him in mind!  The only thing I ask is that it not be shift work as that is what he is trying to get away from! He has AP experience and is a quick learner!! If you don't know of anything...keep him in your prayers, for I know where two or more are gathered in prayer...there so is God!!

Have a great week!
