As you read Danny turned 41 last night! We had a big 40th birthday bash for him last year ( I'm talking rented a place, had a band, a giant cake, tons of family and friends - the works!!)...so this year it was really low key. Being the holidays and the kids having things going on non-stop this is how it panned out for us. He spent the entire day (once again) decorating our yard with lights and blow-ups and a nativity (because one whole day working on it just wasn't enough). In the afternoon, I came home, took Isabella to karate at 5:30, by the time I came home from that - Danny had already taken Makaila to the school for her band concert. We got ready and I baked Danny a cake - while he showered up. We took off to the concert and it was amazeballs. They played extremely well - and great songs too - Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Silent Night...all the good ones...they even closed the show with a cute sing-along!
After the concert we headed over to Sharky's on the water for a nice birthday dinner. When we pulled up Isabella asked if she could sing Daddy happy Birthday and the response was hilarious! It was an instant high toned loud - NO!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
The food was excellent and the little strip of businesses that sit on the water was nicely decorated...we had to take a few pictures!!
After dinner e headed home for some cake and gifts. We sang Happy Birthday to Danny and then gave him his gifts. Isabella however decided she would give him her own gift. The tv was on - and apparently she could outdo the rest of the gifts cause she told Danny - "Daddy, the movies are from Kayla, and the watch is from mommy - watch the tv cause I'm giving you the hot girls!"
The Victoria Secret runway show was on - and her gift to Danny was watching all the hot girls! Where the hell do these kids get all this spunk!!!! Hot girls - REALLY!!! Talk about a slap in the face! LOL I guess that means - I'm a far cry from the hot girls on the tv - Oh well...I'll survive - I've been told worse!
