Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving is pretty exciting for me.  I think that in the 14 years that Danny and I have been together he has never been able to be with us on Thanksgiving.  He has a horrible shift work job that has most definitely taken its toll on our Holidays over the years, but this year he decided to take the day off and spend Thanksgiving together as a family!!

The girls were with my parents during the week, so he left to work on Wednesday morning and I went to House of Pies and met Erica to pick up some pies!!

Then I went home and prepared my dished to take to moms.  I made some green beans, mac and cheese, turtles, and bought some pies.

I woke up early on Thursday morning and packed some stuff for the girls and I, then Danny came home from work that morning at about 7:30; we loaded up the car and I drove us to my parents house to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Not only did he decide to join us for the Holiday; but he packed up the fryer and made us some fried turkeys too!  They were a hit!  Everyone loved them....Carlos said that going forward Danny would have to be at every single Thanksgiving!

We had a great time.  My sisters all came, my cousins from Dallas joined us and we had a blast.  We ate too much food, we laughed too hard, we drank, danced, played loteria, took tons of pictures and just had a great time.

There was no family drama, no judgement, no complaints...just love, health and laughter!!

Little Carlos even made us teary eyed this year because he presented my mom with the pink strips he wore on his uniform during the month of October in her honor for beating breast cancer.  He gave them to her framed and told her that he wore them in her honor the entire month of October because she is one of his heros!! It was beautiful, and she is most definitely one of my heros too.

We had a great time and I am so grateful and thankful to have my family all together in good health and good spirits!!  I am truly immensely blessed!!!
