Weekend Rewind

January 5, 2015

Friday morning I woke up before anyone else in the house and decided to jog the neighborhood for awhile.  I did my 3 miles and then made it back to the house.  Fully awake an energized..I decided to take down all the Christmas decor including our tree! I spent the next hour doing that (why does it take so long to get up and come down so quickly....makes me sad).

By then the family was moving around so we all showered up and got ready and headed out to the Woodlands Mall.  The kids both had gift cards burning holes into their pockets! LOL We walked around for awhile and found pretty much nothing! We headed home early because the Tolley's called and wanted Makaila to babysit for them.

We dropped her off there on our way home, and then got to talking to Terry and Gina and decided to go out to dinner with them instead.  We left all the kids together (Makaila was the official sitter), and we headed out for dinner and drinks.  We ended up at TGIF's out by the house and it was nice.  We just sat around eating and talking, laughing sharing silly stories and getting to know each other.  We had way too much laughing going it...it was great.

We called it a night early...headed back to pick up the girls and then headed home.  We all showered and went to bed.  Nothing exciting...but a great day.

Saturday morning, I started my day running errands.  I wen tto the Dollar Store, Hobby Lobby (where I found these awesome Christmas Trees for 80% off....I bought them to use in Makaila's 15...just not sure on what quiet yet).

At Dollar Tree we also found these lollipops that are perfect for her 15!!!! We bought all the ones they had!!

At noon I headed over to Kitty's house to work on the Rodeo Kick Off Party decorations.  I spend a couple hours there crafting and planning and then headed home to my girlies.  We hung out for awhile, and since Danny went to work the girls and I decided to make it girls movie night.  We went to Red Box and rented Dolphin Tale 2 and Lullaby and spent the next few hours on the couch watching movies and just relaxing.  it was fantastic.

Sunday Morning we headed to church.

Church Notes:

- You can't be all you need to be, ALONE
- Relationships are like heavenly sandpaper; it hurts but it molds you into what you are called to be.
* Most of life goes in stages - your needs change

    1. Wonderful stage (hormone heaven)
    2. War - it becomes difficult - you start to see each other differences
    3. Wonder - you start second guessing and comparing reality to fantasy

- you must tear up that fantasy and accept your life as a gift from God or you can spend your life tearing people up.

Regardless of the grass being greener in other pastures....keep in mind that there is always a septic tank out there somewhere!!

The only way to keep up a relationship is to work on it.

How we treat people is an act of worship.

People need love the most when they least deserve it.
How do you make relationships last?
You learn.  Be willing to enter their world.  Meet their needs.  Many times you think you r loving someone and your really causing them pain.
You appreciate them.
You Serve them.
You Tell yourself what is important in life.  Learn to live outside the box.
When you go to someones funeral the same three things show up: Faith, Family & Friends.  Because those things don't go back in the box!!

May of us don't appreciate the masterpieces in our lives until they are blank canvases!!

After church, Danny took a nap and Makaila and Issy and I headed to the mall to get our eyebrows threaded.  It took hours!!!It was ridiculous...but we were looking pretty bad...so we sat there and waited.  When we finished up, we headed back home and picked up Danny and then headed over to Costco to pick up Isabella's new glasses.

We picked up a few things (imagine that! LOL), then headed back home to relax.  The kids were still off of school on Monday, so Makailas friend Nina came over to spend the night.  Danny and I picked up some Pappa's BBQ for dinner and then called it a night.  Nothing too crazy or exciting but a good weekend overall.  Now its back to work!!
