Oklahoma was not fun! On Monday I flew in on a tiny airplane, next to a guy who smelled like cigarettes, drove stright to the office and within 30 minutes of getting ther ethe lady i was meeting with left to lunch..so I drove around and found a Braums....yummy!
I came back to the office and worked with her until about 6, then spent my evening driving around to get familiar with the town I was in and tried to shop but was having no luck on that front at all..so i had dinner at Outback by myself and read a book while I ate, then went back to the hotel and fell asleep watching tv.
Tuesday I worked from 6 am until 6 pm. I was exhausted and decided to go relax at a movie theatre...I watched The 33 and it was really good. At first I thought the tickets were over priced at 10.50...but it turned out it was one of those fancy theaters with the big reclining leather seats...so I was happy!!
Wednesday I worked another 12 hour day and they Connie and I enjoyed dinner together at the Charleston. Afterwards, I did a little shopping and discovered a store called Versona..which I loved...I bought a few things for myself and some stocking sutffers for the girls, then headed back to my room to pack and get ready for tomorrow.
Thursday morning I woke up, filled up the rental, returned it and jumped on my flight back home which was a tinier plane than the one I came on...it was kinda scary....Let me also tell you that while in Oklahoma, Danny informed me that Isabella got a Detention! Apparently, (According to Danny and Issy) she was written up for 1. Doing Nothing, 2. Laughing and 3., Talking, and her teacher gave her a detention for Thursday after school!!! Danny was fired up about this teacher and so was I so, I sent an e-mail to the teachers and the principle asking for more detail, letting them know I was not happy and that I wanted an explanation...When I landed, I came home, and went to the school to check out Issy because I hadn't heard from her teachers and I was not okay with her serving a Detention that I was not in agreement with. I spoke to her teacher and she convinced me to let her stay and said her and the other teacher and principle would call me later that afternoon to discuss.
Instead when I picked Izzy up from school I asked a few questions and got the truth out of her...turns out Issy was well deserving of that detention. She lied to her Daddy and though that since I wasn't home she would get away with it! LOL Big Mistake!! She was given the detention for acting out, being disobedient and egging other kids to do the same..she wouldn't stop talking or laughing, was warned over and over and written up over and over until the max warning and write ups were given, and her teacher gave her a detention! So long story short...she earned it...lied to her Daddy since I was out of town and thought she was slick...I came home, busted her and looked like an ass for sending the e-mail, and to make matters worse...I was going to have to go to her school and set up for the Holiday parties since I am room mom!! Talk about feeling like a jack ass!!
Friday I took the girls to school, cleaned up a bit, did some errands, and then loaded up for the school parties. I had to get her teachers some gift cards and bundt cakes...to kinda ice over the burn I was feeling thanks to Izzy! The parties went great and both of her teachers graciously accepted my apologies...
After school, we came home and got ready, then headed over to Elaine and Fidel's for the Annual Cookies with Santa event they host each year. It was Peanuts themed this year, and so cute!!
Danny met us there after work and too a few pics and then we headed out to go to Isabella;'s first dance recital!!! She was dancing with her Hip Hop Classmates to Arianna Grandes' Christmas song. She looked super cute!
She did great....Once I figure out how to load a video..I will do that. Danny and the Ramirez's brought her flowers and she felt super special. After the recital we went back to the Cookies with Santa for a bit and then picked up some dinner and headed home!
On Saturday morning I drove to Dayton to pick up layouts from LaJeana wasted an hour and she never showed up, so I headed back home and created my own layouts. Margaret and Teresea came over and Teresea brought the girls their Christmas gifts. They were in a major happy zone. She bought Izzy ever Play-do set you can think of Makaila got some lipstick, perfume, and a PINK giftcard...both girls were very happy. Who does't like gifts!!
Jonathan came by and dropped off his truck for Makaila to wash and make some spending money...she spent 4 hours washing that truck...but she kicked butt and did a great job...I was proud of her!!!
After she was done washing, we went to eat and then Danny took us to River Oaks to look at the Christmas Lights...we drove around for hours!!
Jonathan picked up his truck at about 11, and paid her $100...she was super excited!!Not at all what she was expecting since he had mentioned $40...but she did way above and beyond what was expected and she was rewarded...so that made her day!!! Of course that meant it was burning a hole in her pocket and she wanted to go shopping!!
Sunday we headed to church as a family (which we hadn't been able to do in a long time due to Danny's schedule), and were surprised that it was the first of the Christmas Eve services!!! Complete with Candlelight service, Santa, Live Manger, Frosty...the works!!
We enjoyed all the activities our church hosted and then went home from there we headed out to the Woodland Mall and to Pier one and a few other stores because Makaila was on a mission to get some Christmas shopping done, now that she had some money! LOL We shopped till we dropped then headed home to get some rest. Christmas is only a few days away and I still have some major shopping to do....wish me luck!
