June 2017 Recap

August 1, 2017

Summer is upon us!  And it is flying by way too quick!!

School ended on the 2nd....

I came home early to pick the girls up from their last day of school, and so did Danny...we went to Baytown to have lunch together and then hit up a few court houses to try to change the title on Makaila's car!  We got that taken care of and then Danny and I headed out to the casinos to celebrate school being out ourselves! LOL

We played for a few hours, then headed home to our babies.  we spent that first weekend running errands, getting Dan some new shoes, went to a bar-b-que and Gilbert's, went to church then ran some errands, then headed to the in-laws for loteria!

Issy started Vacation Bible School that first week of Summer..and she had a blast.  Dan took her every morning and Hayden's mom brought her home each afternoon!  Makaila started her babysitting gig for the second summer in a row and she also started her first on-line English class for Lonestar!!  The weekend my sister hooked us up with ticket to the Astros Faith and Family night so, on Friday we met her for lunch to pick up the tickets...they were some freakin' awesome seats!!

Friday night Isabella had a ballet recital and she did fantastic.  Teresa came to see her too and brought her flowers and a balloon..she was so happy!

Aubrey came too.....man are we gunna miss that sweet girl!

Saturday morning Issy and I took off to her second recital run-through and ran out of time...so we stayed put for the recital...which was awesome..she did so great!! Tia came to cheer her on again!

We ate lunch at Whataburger then went home for a quick change of clothes and headed to the Astros game.  Our seats were fantastic!! Thank you Erica for the hook-up!!

The concert was fantastic and we had a great time!!

Sunday was our regular routine of church, lunch, errands and the loteria at the in-laws.  Our week went by in a blur, with laundry, babysitting, college classes, dance, baseball games, and life in general.  Gilbert's mom passed away, so Dan went to the wake on the 15th, and I attended the funeral on the 16th.  It was Father's Day weekend, so the girls and I went to get pictures made on Saturday morning, then headed out to my parents to see my daddy.  We were surprised to see my Tia Vicky there with her son and nephew.  We hung out for the day and then drove home that evening!

My sisters showed up too...so the whole gang was together!

Sunday morning we gave Dan his Fathers Day gift (a new inscribed I-Pod), went to church and then had a quick lunch, followed by Father's Day lunch, swimming and loteria at Ernie's.  I was not on my A game this week.  I was overcome with heartache and depression and so I came home sick two days from work, and cried a whole bucket of tears.  I prayed about my heartache and then gave it to God to take care of and he did. By Thursday when bible study came around I cried the last of my tears and was joined by my girlfriends in prayer and after that I was feeling my better!  God is good all the time...and all the time God is good.  My prayer warriors stayed talking me through my tears until about midnight and I am so grateful for them!  On Friday, I was off, so I went and got a haircut.   I talked to my friend Melissa for awhile and prayed with her too!  Dan took us to dinner at the Cheesecake factory that night...it was yummy.  Saturday was a lazy day, we cleaned house, ran errands and packed Izzy for church camp!  Sunday morning, we went to church and then a quick lunch at Chuy's because Izzy was headed out to Church Camp in Hunstville!!  Camp Encounter here she comes.  My little worry wart cried before she left...she was having some major anxiety about the weather and their safety.  Mrs. Rachel prayed with her and took her under her wing!

It was three days of complete craziness...she did cliff diving, the blob, archery, tomahawk throwing, water parks, Beauty and the Beast chants...she had a blast!! Danny and I both pick her up from teh church on Wednesday and she was not ready to leave her Church momma Mrs. Rachel!
She came home just in time to celebrate her sisters 17th birthday! We got all decked out like we do for birthdays in our house and spent Wednesday night decorating!  It looked great.

Makaila was happy with her decor.  The boys she babysits brought her a beautiful bouquet of flowers which was beautiful and we met a couple of our family members for dinner at Bucca to celebrate our baby! Not before gifting her a new computer for her birthday and posing for birthday pics too!

This was our June 2017 recap.  I am sorry I haven't kept up like promised...but well....we have been busty enjoying our days!  LOL

My baby is 17, and I still haven't recovered from that heart ache.....so bare with me!  I'll get better...maybe! No more promises :)
