March Week 1 Rewind

March 9, 2016

This week was pretty good.  I can't believe we are already in March - Rodeo is in full swing and our calendars are booked with things daily!!

On Wednesday Issy had early release from school, so I took a half day and picked her up.  We went to Chick-Fil-A, Barnes and Nobles for a book, and then Five Below for some fun.  We picked up Makaila from school and then got some u-swirl together!  I came home and took a nap, and then picked up SJ and Gracie and started dinner.

Took Izzy to dance and then called it a night.  the rest of the week, was laundry and taekwondo.  On Friday, I met Erica for lunch at Oasis and it was delicious.  I made a pit stop at the Thrift Store on my way home and then ran a few errands , had dinner at Cracker Barrel, and went to bed early.

Saturday morning, I got up early and put in 3 miles before anyone else was up.  Then we got going quick because Makaila had her color belt testing.  She kicked butt!!

We came home and I spent the majority of my afternoon cleaning out our closet and reorganizing for Danny.  It took hours, but I finally got him to get rid of a few things! And our closet looks pretty!

Once I wrapped up the cleaning we got ready and headed over to Sergio's for some discado and Loteria!  We had a good time and even got to watch some UFC.  The fights were pretty good!

And while I was there my Daddy sent me these cute pictures of himself....

On Sunday we went to church, then headed over to the Rodeo.  We met up with Tony and Sam and did some shopping, then went in to see the Shawn Melendes show.  We sat with Letty and the kids and had a great time.

The girls loved it...but I really am overdone on rodeo this year...I'm ok if I don't go back for any other shows!  The line up was horrible to begin with but having to deal with the swaps day after day did it for me....OVER IT!!

I came home instead and worked on laundry and getting things ready for next week!  March...here we come!!

February Last week Rewind

March 7, 2016

I woke up on Monday feeling like crap!  I called in sick and went back to bed!!  I got up at 10 feeling about 20 % better, but my back was hurting so I got up and then got bored...so I started to clean the craft room again and sold the Keurig machine and packed some junk to drop off at Goodwill!  I went and bought baby shower decorations for my friend at work, and then picked up the girls from school, and went to my FPU class in the evening.  My girlfriend Letty joined me this week, and then afterwards I stayed up till almost midnight making cake balls for the baby shower!

Tuesday I went to work, and we had a baby shower for my co-worker Kody.  I over did it and bought way too much stuff..but I love babies!  He was really grateful.

I came home, only to sit in traffic on W Lake Houston for almost 2 hours!! I didn't make it home until almost 7pm...amd I was not happy! LOL I took the girls to leadership class and then made fidello con papas for dinner and worked on rodeo stuff till I passed out!

Wednesday the girls (Nina and Makaila) went to church and Issy went to her dance class.  I met LaJeana for scrapbooking layouts and got stood up again!  Talk about pissed! I headed home and we watched tv for awhile and then called it a night...nothing excited.

Thursday after work Danny and I got ready adn went to the Rodeo Cook-Off!  We met some of his friends and hung out in our regular tent for awhile...then Danny and I decided to go walk around and stuff, we ran into a few people we knew and got into some other tens with some freakin fantastic drinks!  We had a good time...maybe too good!

Friday I took Izzy to school, then went back to sleep! I got up by 9:30 to do scrapbooking with Margaret and and Andrea, then we had lunch at Fishtales.  I love hangin out with them ladies...they rock! We left there and went to a childrens market sale that was going on, but it was mainly baby stuff, so I headed home empty handed!  I picked up things to make dinner and then got the girls from school and got started.  I made some lasagnas and salad and cake to celebrate Samantha's birthday!  We had a nice sisters dinner, followed by some good ole Loteria!

Friday Danny also gave his two weeks notice at work.  He finally made the decision to take another job and leave shift work!  I am so excited for him.  I think it will be fantastic and I cannot wait to see what amazing things God has in store for him!

Saturday morning I was up by 7 and headed straight to the Humble Civic Center for the Stars and Stripes Tournament! I worked the merchandise booth all morning and finally headed home to get the girls at about 11:30.  Makaila's ring was staged at about 1:30 and she did fantastic.  She placed 4th in forms, got cheated in sparring, but kicked butt in combat sparring and took 1st place!  She is on the right track for another state title this year!

Her Daddy came out to cheer her on - she loves having him there and I am hoping with a new job and no more night shift...this will be a much more frequent occurrance in our lives!

We came home and ate some lasagna, and Danny left to work.  I spent my evening painting, and sanding and waxing a dresser our old neighbors gave us, and loved how it turned out!

Once I finished up, we headed over to Ceci's and I became the Loteria card caller! LOL

We hung out for awhile, then came home for showers and bed....we were all tired!

Sunday morning we to church and then the kids went home with the Ramirez's and Danny and I headed to Reliant for our mandatory walk through!  I was there at my assigned post until 5pm, and I picked up the girls, came home ate lasagna again and watched tv to relax.  I feel exhausted still!  I think it might take a couple days to recover, and rodeo starts next week.....but honestly...I think I am already rodeo'd out....I just want to go to sleep for a couple days straight!  Have a good week...and get some sleep!

Weekend Rewind - Mid February

March 4, 2016

This week was pretty calm.  Tuesday I came home after work and spent my evening working on rodeo e-mails and spreadsheets until midnight!

Wednesday I came home, watched an episode of Blue Bloods, then took Makaila to church, and Izzzy to dance.  We watched a little more tv, ate some leftovers and called it quits by 9!

Thursday I came home and took the girls to karate.  I went to my first bible journaling group meeting and met Jennifer and Ashley.  I am pretty excited about it.  We picked a study to do and planned on meeting again in the end of March (due to rodeo conflicts in between).  I picked up the girls from their class, got chick-fil-a for dinner then home for showers and bed.  I stayed up till 11:30 working on rodeo stuff again!

Friday I worked until 3, then headed home and we all went out in search of an address book for Letty's moms party this weekend.  We went to Target, Office Depot, Michaels, Hallmark, and nothing!! We gave up and drove over to the heights for dinner.  We ate at Torchy's taco's with the girls and then got some dessert at Rita's Gourmet Ice.  They were both delicious.  Makaila was excited because she wanted Rita's when we went to New York, and we never made it by one...neither of us knew that there was one in Houston!

We all came home stuffed and ready for bed!!

Saturday morning I woke up by 5:30 (I had a crazy dream about Danny cheating on me and Makaila catching him and making threats...it was hilarious but then I couldn't go back to sleep...I was too mad! LOL....I think I need to stop eating so much before I go to bed.,...it causes stupid dreaming!)  I got dressed and went for a run through the neighborhood.  Came back home and started laundry going and then took Makaila to her in school tournament.  We ended up spending the entire day there.  She did some team sparring at about 10 and then didn't go again until well after 2 pm.  It was a long exhausting day!! And she didn't even place in anything becuase she was the only color belt...she was in a ring full of black belts...but I was super proud of her for holding her own and making them work for it! She rocked and it was good practice for the big A tournament next week.

After the tournament was over, we came home and ate lunch, then drove to Spring to pick up Cook Off tickets, then over to Deerpark for Jessica and Ryan's gender reveal party.  They revealed by hitting a baseball filled with powder...
It is a girl...and Jessica was jumping up and down with excitement...super cute.
We left there and hit up another bigger Hallmark for an address book.  I finally found one (although it was ridiculously over priced...too bad..I ran out of time and had no other choice!).  It was still kinda early so we drove around aimlessly looking for something to do do.  We drove through Mid town, and the Rice Village and then over through Westheimer, until we finally decided we would get something small to eat and a few desserts.  We ended up at the Grand Lux Cafe across from the Galleria.  We had to wait 45 minutes for a table but it was worth the wait.  The food was fantastic and the desserts were phenomenal!!!

Once again we came home stuffed and went straight to bed.

We woke up Sunday morning and headed to church.  Afterwards we came home and ate , and then I went to the store to buy gifts.  Danny left to Ernie's to replace the struts in his car, and the girls and I headed over to Pasadena to Pepa's 70th birthday party.  It was way fancier than we anticipated...so we were really under dressed, but we had a good time!

We left the party and stopped by my sister Erica's since we were right down the street.  We hung out for about an hour then came home.  I picked up Chinese food on the way home, and we called it a night.  We all ate our Chinese and got ready for the next week ahead of us.  I stayed up till 11 working on rodeo stuff and then called it quits!! Aren't you proud of me Alex...I got alot of updates done today...now I'm only 2 weeks behind...those will be up soon enough! LOL In the mean time go ask for some extra credit stuff to work on...stay off the damn internet...and stop watching those nasty videos on Twitter!
