Manic March

May 4, 2015

I swear...I really thought I was going to get back on the bandwagon of blogging a few times a week...but goodness gracious...time flies by when your having fun!  It has been another two months....so I am gunna do March and April as a couple of month long posts just to catch up and try the bandwagon thing again in May!  (Although truth be told its already a couple weeks into May!).  I swear it is gunna get better.....we are only 5 weeks away from Makaila's Quinceanera...so I will get it together soon enough.

Anywho....this is what our March consisted of:

We went to Marshall's one afernoon and found this super cute dress for Issy to potentially wear to her sisters 15! She said she felt beautiful in it...so we bought it!  I have to agree...she looks very beautiful if I do say so myself!

Rodeo was still in town and we love us some rodeo...so we hit it up pretty often.  On 3/7 we invited Tia Teresea to come meet us at the rodeo and spend the day having fun with Issy and I....we had a blast!!

She really loves her Tia Teresea!  She says..."Tia does all the fun stuff with me!"

She convinced us that she needed to ride this pony....and once again she was right..it was a must!

Izzy and her annual pic with Mrs. Moo!
I love this little nugget!

HOWDY!!!!!

The next week was spring break for the girls...but the whole month consisted of many many days filled with laundry....why does it never end...I'm starting to really contemplate becoming in house nudists! The amount of laundry that we do is just outrageous!!!

One morning I woke up to get ready for work and Makaila had left me this message on our white board.  It was so cute and thoughtful (I think I even cried a little).  She knows I love watching Ellen and I love her inspirational sayings...so gave me a few of her own (and Ellen's too).
Apparently they stayed up really late that night and did some cleaning....I am one lucky momma (They started our spring cleaning without me...and I'm not mad at em for it!)
Guess what...more rodeo.  We met Tia Sammy and Tony during the week to catch Tim McGraw's concert show! Little Izzy enjoyed a funnel cake!

This kid loves to take pics with her Daddy!

So does this one! LOL

The girls felt we were long overdue for a girls day of shopping and pedicures and lunch!  I couldn't agree more...so we spent en entire day out doing just that...

We bought tons of stuff on sale and shopped till we dropped!

Miranda had her quinceanera in mid March and it was beautiful...we had such a good time and the setting was great for pics!

Clearly it was a good night....Danny joined us too and we had a great time.  Made me even more excited for Makaila's 15 to come already.

Alec called and wanted me to take him to take pictures one Sunday afternoon...so I did.  We loaded up and headed over to Downtown areas to take some pics of him....and the cousins too....we had some good laughs!

My sister planned a birthday party for her grandson Joseph and it was as Izzy says "AWESOME"!!

When we left there she said it was the best most awesomest party ever and she wanted one just like it!

This is my cute big sister....she is way too hot and young to be a grandma...don't you think?

Me and my sisters being silly!

I even got Danny in on the fun!

What a great pic of the kiddos! I love it!

What else but more rodeo! LOL I love these two more than words can say!

BLAKE SHELTON WAS THE BEST!!!

Aubrey came over for a play date in March and they made chocolate bars...these two are crazy together!!

What else can we do....I know...more rodeo!!! My sister gave me and our parents some suite tickets to Brad Paisley so we made a day of it....

You can tell in the next few pics that dad had a great time and loved the suite bar! LOL

He danced his tiny little toosh off!

We wrapped up Rodeo on Luke Bryan night......the kids went to the concert while the adults enjoyed some time in the wine garden!!

Izzy was mad...so she wanted to sit away from us!LOL

Issy raised some money for her school and participated in the Color run..she loved it!!!

On one of my Fridays off Danny and I spent the day running quinceanera errands.  We managed to start buying some of the sponsor bottles, pay on the hall, meet with the photographer and schedule a few other loose ends.  This cute display at the liquor store was too cute to pass up!
When Teresea came over for scrapbook night she brought the girl some Easter baskets!  I swear that woman has such a  big heart and always thinks of my girls...which I am so grateful for!!

Later that weekend we hit up the park and zoo with the Tolley family!!

We wrapped up May by taking an adults only trip to Antique Week in Roundtop!  Fidel, Ceci, Ray and Danny and I shared a hotel room (with an overload of smart ass comments and laughter).  We got up early and spent the entire day shopping and browsing...it was great!! I think this is something that all families need to do...not so much the shopping but the making time to go away with your siblings and crowd into a room and laugh and reminisce and just be a kid again...even if its just for one night....it was really nice!

The last day of the month we went to cheer on our friends and fellow Taekwondo family in receiving their black belts.  I am so happy for them and so proud of them...It wont be long that all the Limon girls will be sharing this same moment!! I can't wait!!

We had a fun filled month in March...as you can clearly see.  We made it to church every Sunday morning, which is my favorite part of the week!!

One of the silly things I want you girls to remember about March was the one night during the week that you came home and we were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner...all of a sudden you guys started asking about your middle names and how we picked them and what you wished your names were....then one of you asked Daddy why he didn't have a middle name and kept going on about how he really should get one since the rest of us had one....and before I knew it you guys were testing out middle names for dad and both agreed that his new name in life would be Daniel Santiago Limon! LO L You guys even sang him songs and Izzy did an awesome rendition of happy birthday Daniel Santiago...even had some hip action an everything.

We laughed uncontrollably and she even sang that song while she showered later that night.  It wasn't a hectic night or a night with anything planned, just a silly moment at the kitchen table that made me feel like the luckiest mom in the whole world.  To be able to laugh and giggle with my girls and bask in the glory of our blessings!
We are a healthy happy family...and I am so grateful for that.  I am so proud of the little women you girls are becoming and I hope that your dad and I are setting good examples for you in life.  I may take pictures of all our outings and fun stuff throughout our lives but the days like this one and the moments like this, filled with meaningless laughter and joy are my favorites!I think that's why its ok that I miss posts from time to time or take a break in posting...because we get busy living life and and having fun....so forgive me if I take too long...I'll always come back and catch up...but its just hard to get away sometimes!  You'll appreciate that when your older!

Frantic February

March 2, 2015

The entire month of February was hectic and busy and chaotic and I never got a chance to post any of our weekend updates.  I decided that there were so many great things I wanted to capture for our girls to remember that I would do one giant post for the entire month and highlight the good things and importance things (church notes, events, memories I want to treasure, etc. )

The first weekend was Superbowl weekend and also since Issy was feeling better - she was going to a slumber party at Ireland's house - which was preceeded by a slumber party the night before at Aubrey's house!!

Friday Jan 30th was scrapbook night, so when I picked Issy up from school Aubrey came over for a play date , and then when her mom came to pick her up they invited Issy to go to the high school football game to watch Aubrey perform, and then spend the night!! Sherri too the girls to the morives that morning - so Makaila and I took advantage and went to the movies too to see American Sniper - Great Movie.  We picked up Issy and headed to Cypress to take Issy to Slumber Party # 2!!

Ireland had a great crafty party and Izzy had a blast.  Sunday morning we went to church

Church Notes:

The most Important Decision

Are you living a life that pleases God?

I let God by God when:
1. I'm believing God for great things in my life.
    Limits:
                 * The ceiling of boredom - taking all the fun away
                 * The ceiling of fear - replace that fear with faith
                 * The ceiling of assumptions - sometimes we think we know better
Stop trying to help God's plan along; he can handle it on his own and in his own timing, Remember that with God all things are possible but nothing is predictable!

2. I'm praying to God about the details of my life.  We need to remember that he cares about all the details.  If you care about it then God cares about it.  If your worried about it - pray about it,

3.  I'm trusting God with the mysteries in my life.   We all need unfailing love beasue it produces Wisdom!

I caught Issys muck and was sick for a week!

During that week Issy complained about never having been a flower girl.  It was weighing on her because she talked about it for days.  So on Wednesday after we picked Makaila up from youth service the girls took shower and Danny and I got married (for the third time in our lives).  Makaila married us and Issy was our beautiful flower girl.  However, we didn't have any flowers so she threw candy, and it was bedtime...so we rushed through it in 5 minutes (Dresses unbutton and sport coat over OOTD! LOL )and then off to bed.  It was sop cute and something I want them to remember forever!!

The next day happened to be our 15 year wedding anniversary.  Danny is notorious for not wanting to celebrate anything...so I was very pleased to find that he bought me flowers, took me out to lunch and then bought me a pie! He knows my love language for sure!! LOL  I want pie!!  It was great..and I would like to note for memory purposes that when I told the kids they could not have any of my pie - Makaila was quick to point out that it was really her cake since we wouldn't be married if it weren't for her!Nice Makaila -- real nice!

After 15 years, a divorce, and three marriages....I love this guy more than I ever imagined.  He is the best father I could ask for our girls, he is a hard working faithful and kind man.  I am proud to be his bride.  I am still working on the affection part...but I love him none the less!!  Happy Anniversary Dan!!  I LOVE YOU!

In addition to my pie and card and lowers, Issy gifted me with a special serenade on our anniversary.  She strummed her guitar and sang to me my all time favorite song!! Skin-a-marink-a-dink-a-doo!!

Both her and Makaila sang that little song to me when they were younger and I absolutely love it.  You know the song:
Skin-a-mar-ink-a-dink-a-do, I love you
I love you in the morning, and in the afternoon
I love in you in the evening and underneath the moon
Oh Skin-a-mar-ink-a-dink-a-do, Skin-a-mar-ink-a-do..I LOVE YOU!!!

It was a fantastic gift...it beat out the pie...and I love pie!

This is a glimpse of Issy on crazy hair day...I love it!

My girlfriends and I met for breakfast and saw 50 shades of Grey!! SAUCY!!
Makaila was feeling the crud too so I took her in and she was okay!
Issy got a "Green Machine" for Valentines Day!!  (I sent my dad a pic of her riding it and he replied "That's nice honey...but it looks purple to me!"LOL)
Makaila got a heartfelt card with some cash - we know the way to her heart too!
This was Mrs. Nina testing it out!
We went to a wedding Valentine Weekend and Issy was all about having a good time! We danced and danced!

This handsome guy was my date to a Valentine Wedding!
Church Notes:

The wisest financial advisor.
Do these 5 things and God will provide for you:

1. Know - the state of your finances.  Be informed/ Keep good records!
2. Plan Carefully - don't partake in impulse buying; make adjustments where necessary and be in balance.  Follow the law of harvest - whatever you plant will grow; just get your results later and greater!
3. Save - get rich quick schemes never work! Tithe 10%, Save 10% and live on the other 80%
4. Give - if you hold onto the seed you wont harvest anything! Be content with what you have instead of wanting more.  Dishonor blocks the blessings of God.
5. Trust in God!  God wants you to know that you can trust him!

Wherever your treasure is, there too your heart will be.

After church that week we went shopping with Ceci and the kids and guess what...I found a dress (Yes another one) for Makaila's 15.  It was divine intervention!

This is a good daddy!  Pushing his girls around in a mall cart just to see them smile! LOL
This dress was a steal.  It was mistakenly marked down, I used two coupons, and a promotion sales and bought a pin for an extra discount and paid only 36% of the original price!! With heels it will be the perfect length!!It was the only one marked down and it was my size and petite....I think God really wanted me to have it! It covered all my requirements too....simple yet elegant, conservative up top, no heavy cleavage, I can wear regular undergarments!

Our church had an Ash Wednesday service and I am so glad we went.  Not only was it  great service - but I got a glimpse of what goes on during youth service.  Since Wednesday nights are youth night at church they combined the two and I got to see how they do service.  During praise and worship all the kids huddles around the stage and praised with their songs and their hands lifted high...it was so beautiful. It was dark - and I couldn't get a good picture - but it was most definitely a proud mommy moment to sit in my seat and watch Makaila up there around that stage with her group of friends freely praising and worshiping in song!! I loved it!!!
Makaila partook in the ATA in school tournament and rocked it!!  I am so proud of this ninja!!

We went to make a payment on the hall - we are only 4 months away from Makaila's 15!!! AHHHHH

How adorable are these two girls!?!?!!?
Makaila's art teacher asked her to participate in the Art Competition at her school.  She made this little clay monster that was adorable and I am so proud of her!!  She did great too!
The big ATA Tournament took place on Feb 28th and this ninja rocked it!! Her sleepy daddy was there to cheer her on and that makes us so happy!

She did fantastic - She placed 2nd in sparring, 3rd in forms adn 3rd in combat sparring!!! WATCH OUT

We had a great month.  It was time consuming and hectic, things at work were not the greatest...I was super busy and too often disappointment.  I am hoping for better things in the months to come.  I know that God puts us through things because he has a great plan for us...and I am hopeful and eager to see those plans come to fruition.  Girls, when you read this blog years form now and scroll through these pages  and come to this point...let me just remind you of a few things we discussed this month in some simple conversations and some heartfelt talks.

* You are beautiful and wonderfully made in God's eyes.  No matter what other people see or say you need to have confidence in yourself as a woman and know that you are beautiful.  Your not fat, or skinny, dark or light, thick or thin, chubby, zitty, four eyes, or anything else....you are beautiful.  I wish with all my hear that you could see your self through my eyes.  When I look at you I see the perfect combination of me and your daddy.  I see beautiful smiles, and perfection.  I see smart, witty, driven girls who make me more proud than anything else in this world! I see beauty in its purest form.

* Money does not grow on trees and you cannot continue to expect to live with certain expectations unless you earn those things.  You are children and you should not concern yourself with money issues or bills, or how things are financially for our family...that's a concern for me and your daddy.....but we do want you to know that we work hard to give you guys nice things and to show you the value of money.  I know you think we are hard on you by having you each do chores, and by making a cell phone something earned with grades, or having you spend your babysitting money to buy yourself things....but that is a part of life (nothing is free) and I hope one day you can see that we are teaching you to be responsible and driven.

* Love is not something girls your ages know about so please stop using that word so freely.  Love is something that is cultivated in a relationship.  It's not a feeling but rather a commitment based on the result of growing with another person.  It's not easy but it most definitely worth it.  It is finding a person, getting to know them over time, and realizing that that person make you a better person.  It is your best friend, a person who you have no secrets from, a person who holds no secrets from you.  Love is the completeness you create with another person that makes you laugh, that your not embarrassed to cry in front of, that doesn't judge you or mock you but lifts you up and encourages you and pushes you to higher limits.  Love is finding someone worth fighting for.  Love is not lust, or affection or chemistry or attraction it is way better than that...it's being with someone that you can't give up on.  Love is when divorce is not an option and never will be.  Love with another person should be with the person that you want to father your children and play with your grandchildren, and hold you at night and smell your stank breathe in the morning.  LOL It's the person you want to fight with and make up with.  It's the person that challenges you and cheers for you. I pray that one day you come to know love in its true form and that each of you find a man to love you in all the ways I have mentioned. I pray that he makes you feel like the most special important and smartest woman in the world.  I pray that he loves you as much as your father and I do.  I also pray that you grow up first and that you enjoy life and youth and friendships and travel and life before you fall in love and more after you have found it.

* You only get one sister.  I don't know how else to tell you this...but your dad and I will never had more kids (unless I can convince him to adopt..which I am not sure we are cut out for).  I physically cannot have more kids...so NEWS FLASH - This is your one and only sister.  I don't care how annoying or rude or bossy she is.  I don't care how much she gets on your nerves, or ignores you...that its....that your only option is her.  LOVE HER!!!  Treasure the time you have growing up together because it is going by way to fast and we can't get it back.  I know that you guys are different in age by quite a bit but your sister loves you and looks up to you and couldn't imagine life without you...so treat her the same please.  You are two separate completely different girls,....but you are sisters and friends and I hope that never changes.  I hope you guys grow up and become the best of friends. I hope you always stand up for each other and look out for each other and love each other unconditionally and totally...the way Daddy and I love you!!

That about wraps us February - I plan on getting caught up and going back to weeklies in March!!!  It's rodeo season and work is crazy...but I can do it!!  Have a great week!!
