The kids went back to school today and they were not happy! Issy took it in stride - I think she was ready to see her friends again - but Makaila was not feeling it! She woke up in a hissy of a mood and when she came home last night she was not sharing any good stories! LOL Lucky for them it is a short week, and they don't have a choice! LOL

Weekend Rewind
January 6, 2014
What a great weekend - 2014 is going to have so many great things for us! I just know it.
I had scrabooking on Friday night and Isabella went home with Teresea, and I got a few unexpected texts from my sister in law Sarah, wanting to hang out!
Saturday morning my neighbor Amy and I decided to try the HIT class at our karate school. I have tried it before and knew exactly what I was getting myself into (a shit ton of pain) - LOL. It was HARD! Amy actually made it half way through the class then excused herself to go puke! LOL Poor girl - I warned her!!
We made it through the entire class - but I have a feeling Amy won't be coming back with me!
After the class, I went home to shower and got ready. Sarah called at about noon and we made plans. I got Makaila up and we headed out for a girls day! Sarah, Makaila and I spent the entire day together!!! We started off with Mani/Pedi's and then went thrift store shopping! We were there for hours and bought boat loads of great cheap awesome stuff!! I think Sarah is finally sold on the greatness the Thrift stores can behold! LOL We finished the evening with a great dinner at Salt Grass Steakhouse! We got to know each other better, and talked about all sorts of stuff - sports, shopping, likes and dislikes, work, friends, all sorts of stuff. We had so much fun, we decided to do it again the next day! (Besides we went to Family Thrift and earned our Sunday 50% off - so we couldn't pass that up).
Makaila and I went to the early service at church on Sunday morning.
Church Notes:
Stronger - Growing a Deeper and Stronger Faith
1. Strong and Courageous Thinking
* Change my Focus from what I can't do to what God Can do!!!
- He can do great things through us if we just believe.
* Change my focus from my problems to God's power.
- Your fears do not come from God; he gives us his power, confidence and joy!
It's not about what you feel it is about what you believe! Do you have trust in your father to lead you to great things despite your fears?
2. Strong and Courageous Believing
Meditate on God's word. Listen to him and he will lead you were to turn! Being successful is the ability to make wise decisions.
God's word is faith food!
3. Strong and Courageous commitment
* Speak in faith regardless of my circumstances. Eliminate negative words, no more complaining or grumbling! Eliminate negative people. Believe God for great things. There are two type of people - those who live in fear and those who live in faith - which are you?!?
* Act in faith regardless of my feelings! Remember his promises! Expect great things from God and do great things in his honor!!
3 Habits that Grow Faith Strong:
* Daily quiet time - meditate and listen to his plan for you
* Consistent Tithing - give your 10% and watch his blessings unfold
* Weekly Fellowship - get involved in a good church and surround yourself with people of faith
After church we were feeling pretty awesome - so we stopped at Dunkin Donuts and then headed over to Ernie and Sarah's! We loaded up and went to the Thrift Store and found some more amazing finds! We tried on clothes like we were in a marathon. Sarah literally broke a sweat! The weather was getting ugly - it was really cold and drizzling like crazy. We picked up lunch and then I met up with Teresea to pick up Issy. Of course they did all kinda of fun things - they went to NASA, and the little people's gym to do all kinds of fun stuff.
The girls and I headed home and did a few loads of laundry and watched tv and got ready for bed. It was a great weekend.
I must say - I have never really hung out or spent much time with my sister in law Sarah, but I am so glad we did. She is an amazing individual who is so strong and beautiful. She had a hard year in 2013 battling cancer and I am so proud of her strength! She is a bit down on herself because of her appearance. She lost all her hair to cancer and her skin is a tad pale. Over the weekend she made a few comments about how she misses her old self, and wishes she looked like she used to instead of Christopher Walkins. I wish she could see herself the way I see her. I am in awe of her strength. To endure such heartache and pain and still be strong and smiling! She is a beautiful person just the way she is - I just wish she could see it!
I hope this New year has started off well for you and if it hasn't then just shake it off and take control! God has great great things in store for you. Embrace his grace and live everyday as if tomorrow isn't promised (news flash - it isn't). Have a great week and know that you are loved!!! More than cheese and chocolate cake! :)

Scrapbook Night
January 4, 2014
I usually host a Scrapbook night on the last Friday of each month (if you like to scrapbook let me know - I'd love for you to join us). In December however, things got a little hectic and I didn't have our gathering for the month. So instead of skipping it - I decided to have two in January! We met on Friday and created our Christmas layout. It was really cute!!!
Margaret and Teresea (my faithful attenders) came over and we made our layouts and caught up on Christmas stories and stuff. Later on my neighbor and friend, Amy came over to scrapbook but instead we enjoyed a bottle of wine and some laughs and chit chat. We stayed up till midnight talking and came up with a plan to go to the HIT fit class in the morning! LOL
Let's see how that works out for us!!
Back in the Groove
January 3, 2014
The Karate school we go to, opened back up on Thursday for classes and we all went. Issy did great as a new Camo belt..she even got her first taste of sparring which was hilarious!
Makaila and I went to the Adult class last night and let me just say - we are a pair of out of shape bettie's!!
It kicked our butt. Neither of us did anything at all over the Christmas break and it most definitely showed! We were breathing hard, and sweating profusely, and complaining that we were on the verge of puking the entire class! LOL
I think it was a real reality check for me cause I most definitely need to get my bid wide butt in gear this year and try to get a shape that is not round! LOL

Happy New Year
January 2, 2014
HAPPY NEW YEAR - From our family to yours! I hope this year brings you the absolute best. That it is filled with good health, laughter, love, patience and God's grace. I hope that this year we all grow closer to God and his word and that we reach our goals in all area of life.
We rang the new year in surrounded by family and love. I worked on New Years Eve but got out early, so I headed home, made some snacks and then layed down for a nap! LOL
We got ready in the evening and headed over to Ceci and Ray's. The rest of the Limon family was gathering at Grandma and grandpa's but we had made plans with the Ramirez's and we weren't really invited over to Grandma and grandpa's....so we headed over to Ceci and Ray's and had a blast.
Danny started the evening off with a bang because he gave me a 1,000 carat ring to have some bling for the new year! I thought it was pretty cute! LOL
We of course had our shots on the hour each hour and we played some headbands type game from the Ellen show (we laughed ALOT). We hung out and chit chatted and our niece Jessica showed up in all her cuteness, and later my sister Sammy and Tony showed up to ring in the new year with us! It was fun. The kids laughed and played and the adults danced and laughed and had a great time. The new year was started in good spirits around people we love and who love us in return! Can't beat it.
I set my alarm on my phone for 9:30 am because I want to go to Dillard's and pick up the eiffel towers that were in their Christmas department for Makaila's 15. I'm crazy, I know...but the Christmas stuff was going 75% off and I just really wanted them.
I headed to bed for a couple hours and when the alarm went off I was ready to go. I got to Dillard's and instantly thought I must be dreaming! Or better yet, I was in a nightmare. I had to park at the end of the parking lot - it was jam packed and there was a line outside the door. I was thinking - I'll be there when they open, get in and out in 15 minutes flat...boy was I wrong. Apparently, Dillard's has a major can't miss it-line up at the doors kinda sale each January 1st - to which I was oblivious. My fear was - 'Oh no - are all these people here for Christmas stuff!!!'.
The entire store was an additional 50% off EVERYTHING and these people were going crazy. I am talking within minutes people were stacking up shoes, piling up boxes of perfume sets, yanking clothing...it was worse than any Black Friday event I have ever endured - and I have seen plenty of them crazy filled things! I was literally in awe of peoples craziness (cause you know getting up to buy Eiffel towers for an event that is almost two years away on 2 hours of sleep is not crazy at all - LOL).
I even took pictures in case you didn't believe me ~

Sometime in the wee hours of the morning Ernie came over to hang out for a few and then we finished off the night (or should I say morning) dancing to good ole country music. We shut it down at about 5am. At 6 am we loaded up the car (we couldn't sleep, and Danny wasn't feeling to hot), so we headed home.

I had to walk the entire length of the parking lot!!!!
This was the men's department - imagine how the woman's was!!
The line in the shoe department went thru in and out 3 times and then people were still digging for shoes in between the line! LOL I'd pay full price before I got into that mess - and I hate paying full price!!
After I was done in Dillard's I went home and made a big breakfast for the kids of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and tortillas. At about 2pm - I crashed back out and then spent the entire day in bed! LITERALLY. I think we woke up at about 7 to order a pizza, eat and then get back in bed!! LOL
It was marvelous. The girls watched movies on Net Flix, and Danny and I just watched tv in bed and relaxed! It was a nice way to start off and rest up since I had to work in the morning.
