Summer Summary 2016 - Part 1

July 31, 2016

First I'm sorry I have been gone for so long...I blinked and summer was over...I blinked again and Fall was here.....I don't know how or why this time is flying by as fast as it is...but I guess that old verbiage of ...'time flies when your having fun' is very very true!

I'm going to try to recap our fun filled summer to you with pictures and highlights so I can get back on schedule...maybe!  I'm not promising anything.  A lot of why I have been blog absent was because I was just way to busy making memories with my babies, and super busy at work...which means a healthy feeling of job security and there is nothing wrong with that!

Ok - lets get started!  school year ended on June 2nd, and sadly it was still raining pretty bad.  We spent our afternoon cleaning closets and selling stuff online.  Issy did made all A's on her last report card and E's in conduct!  So proud of her!!

We wrapped up our week getting some things done to the new car, and getting ready for a trip to Dallas.  Makaila was competing at the Plano tournaments.  We made it a straight shot and hit tons of rain in the Woodlands.

Late dinner at the Wok Box - which is out of the norm for us...but it was delicious.
Makaila was very nervous at this tournament. it was a District champ tournament, which means the top 10 competitors of 4 different states were competing to get titles.  Only first place becomes a district champ at this thing...so the pressure is on!

But no fear can overcome...as iron sharpens iron....this girl rocked it.  She finished off her color belt career as a District Champion.  Makaila placed 3rd place in Sparring, 2nd place in Forms and 1st place in Combat Sparring...which means she is a 2016 DISTRICT CHAMPION!!!!!!!!  So proud of this ninja!!  She was killing it out there!

We celebrated with some Braum's (our favorite burger and ice cream place)...HOUSTON...wake up...we need a Braum's like the grass needs the rain...DESPERATELY!!!!
We stopped by my parents on the way home to see the animals, pick some fruit and visit with the cuties.

We drove home that night because we had the boys graduations on Sunday afternoon.  We went to church and then to my in-laws  to drop off plums, then to the graduation ceremony.

We ate some lunch, played loteria then headed home for our week routine.  We started without Izzy though.  She went home with Rose and stayed there a few days, then the girls came home to our house and stayed the rest of the week.  They are taking this summer serious!  No down time!  LOL Issy started watching the Tolley boys.  That Friday the kids had their graduation party....WOHOOO...it was great.

This weekend was super hectic.  Makaila had to get to class in order to get her required stripes for black belt testing and I was moving and groving for Isabella's dance recital.  We divided and conquered, and made it to both and they were great.  Isabella rocked it and her recital was super cute.  She even had her own fan club there to cheer her on!

It was still raining, so we spent the rest of the weekend running errands and avoiding flood puddles because it was still raining off and on!

The next week we were kid-less...Makaila left to California for the week with the Ramirez's, and Isabella went to stay with Mary and Sergio to hang out with Brianna!

Both of the girls had a blast and made some great memories that week.  That Friday Issy and me spent the day together , and twinned it to the movies to go see Finding Dory.  Very cute movie! Then we went to the Astros game with Sam & Tony!

We picked Makaila up on our way home and she gave us all gifts and showed us all her awesome pics and told us great stories.  Early the next morning we had Makaila's Black Belt Testing.  It was a long LONG day but it was awesome..,she rocked the heck out of that testing...my ninja is black belt ready!!!
We went to Celebrate Emily's birthday that weekend...She is getting so big!
Sunday was Father's Day and we enjoyed the Fatherpalooza event at our church, and the girls gifted their daddy some candy and cash...so he was happy!
The rest of that weekend was filled with family and loteria! I moved scrapbooking to Thursday and enjoyed dinner with the girls.  Then worked on the gifts for Makaila's black belt ceremony.
Teresea brought Makaila a birthday gift...she was loving it!
Friday evening we went to see our baby girl received her black belt.  I am not kidding..I cried like a ninny...I was so proud of all her hard work and dedication.  She earned that black belt..and we couldn't be prouder.  She had a good little fan club cheering for her too...

We celebrated with Cake at our house afterwards and the next day we went out to Canyon Lakes to have our first River Tubing experience....we had a blast.....

Our day was filled with great food, friends, weather, and fun!  We tubed, swam, Izzy was  dare devil and was doing swing jumps into the river....we had a blast!!!
We did it again on Sunday and came home happy and exhausted.  The next week we celebrated Makaila's 16th birthday!! We kept it low key and did a small dinner at Rio.  We gave her money this year to take to Disney...and more money on her birthday then we also gifted her ticket to see the Newsboys later this year!

That wrapped up the month of June!  WOW...Action packed right....ladies you remember this when we have a weekend at home and I say we are staying in or cleaning, and you come back with the  typical response of ....we are bored...we never do anything....LIARS!!!  We do a crap load...hell we are never home!  You guys are beyond blessed to be able to do all the things we do!  Speaking of which ....lets move on to July...which started of on July 1st with an 8 hour drive to Arkansas to take Makaila to the World Championships of Taekwondo!!

She got her butt handed to her at this World Tournament.  I think she thought...I'm a district champ...no big deal..WRONG!  She was eliminated on her first match in each of the events.  She was so pissed off she cried in frustration, and it didn't help that her dad was pissed too...because she wasn't even trying after the first butt whopping she just gave up...she didn't even try!  Which sucks because he drove us there 8.5 hours and then Makaila didn't even try...I'd be pissed too!  We tried to talk to her about how this was a good thing.....she needs to realize that people came from all over the world to win...we drove 8.5 miles but some of these people spent thousands of dollars and traveled thousands of miles to get there....and they were not going to let go so easily.  She was used to her state competitions and knowing her strengths with those competitors that she just figured this would be the same.....and she was sadly mistaken.  She got whopped and sent home with her tail between her legs...so if she wants to go back next year...she is going to have to try way harder...or we wont be making that trip!  While we were in Arkansas however Danny reluctantly took me to Hot Springs...its was a beautiful little town, and I most definitely want to go back...in the fall...cause OMG it was freakin HOT!!!!!

We lasted there about an hour, and couldn't take the heat any longer...so we left!  It was a beautiful place...but again....maybe in the Fall or Winter...not in the middle of summer!

We made the long drive back home and were freakin exhausted!!! We spent Sunday lounging, doing yard work and laundry and just catching our breathe!

Monday was 4th of July - so we spent the day with Family....we went an exchanged Izzy's easy bake over because it broke since Christmas!

Then we worked on cutting up fruit and making stuff to take to Ernie's. Izzy made a batch of thin mints too!
We took off to Ernie and Sarah's and hung out in the pool for the day! It was fun filled!

We even had cake...,.because we love cake!

 Followed by fireworks of course.

The end of that weekend marked my 36th birthday!  Sadly...once you get to be 36...birthdays are just another day.  There is no excitement or party..you learn to just be grateful that God blessed you with another year of life!  Be thankful your children are healthy, you have a roof over your heads and food on the table!!
Lanice brought me an assortment of cupcakes to work on Friday..and they were delicious! Then we went and had lunch at Benihana's!

On the evening of my birthday I saw some pots on the side of the road, and I wanted them..so I scratched up my new car and busted up my finger trying to load them into my car because God forbid Danny be caught picking up "trash"! Happy birthday to me!! My finger was throbbing and hurt like hell....so I wrapped it up took pain pills, and went to bed early on my birthday! But these beauties were worth it!
Saturday morning, I celebrate with my parents and sisters at Spanky's for lunch.

We came home, and Teresea came over to treat me to a pedicure and some ice cream, which was nice!
We went to Chuy's for dinner later that night, and then to a party with my family in the evening.

The night was filled with fun and laughter, drinking and dancing, and then it all turned to crap.  Certain people drank too much and drama unfolded and then, long story short I tried to help , and ended up being talked about, criticized, taken advantage of and babysitting others until 6 in the morning!  It  was eye opening to say the least.  I know now, why I don't drink like that...and I am so grateful that I have Danny in my life to keep me grounded in times like this because I wanted to flip out so many times and I didn't.  Instead I just helped them with their crap and tried to take care of others...which in turned resulted in them calling me snooty, and a bitch and many other names...but I'm okay with it, because I'd rather them say that then know I cant drink and act like a fool and take care of my kids.  e finnally got to bed at 6 in the monring, and  I took  a quick cat nap and then got up about 2 hours later to see people off and to get Izzy ready to go to church camp!

SHE HAD A BLAST!!!!

That Friday both my girls were home, and so I spent my day off in a line at Academy for 2 hours waiting to see JJ Watt......he didn't come but Makaila and Danny got some JJ Watt shoes, and my girls were happy...so it was worth it!

That evening I went to a surprise painting birthday party for my dear friend Letty and then a party with my family again...we had a long happy day!

We wrapped up July with a trip to Destin, Florida for a few days.  They were relaxing days filled with fun and laughter...the greatest highlight was that Makaila and I went Parasailing...it was super cool!

We rented the boats and jet ski's one day and went out and saw lots of dolphins!

While Makaila and I want parasailing...Izzy and Brianna went and got shirts made!

As if Destin, Florida were not enough.,..we spent the last weekend of July enjoying a girls day.  We had lunch at Chuck-E-Cheese.,..went shopping, and hung out and had fun all weekend.  Issy got her dress for the wedding in August and we were all happy!!

We wrapped up July quickly enough...and then came August.....you tired yet!  Ok...this post turned out way longer than I planned....I wanted to give you small updated but we just had so much going on....so I'm splitting summer up into two parts!!  Go Check Summer Summary 2016 - Part 2 to see the rest of our summer!!!
